About Pawesome Pets

Pawesome Pets is a foster home based, non-profit organization located in the Greater Toronto area dedicated to helping dogs and cats find safe and suitable permanent homes through adoption and education.

By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians, and trainers, we are able to rescue these animals and provide them with loving temporary care while finding them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. We do not have a physical shelter and all animals live in suitable foster homes while they wait for their forever families.

Adoption Policy

Our adoption fees vary depending on the expenses associated with that particular animal. We operate on a cost-recovery basis. Please contact us to confirm adoption fee if it is not posted. No animals are offered for free.

All animals are adopted spayed/neutered if over 6 months of age. Those under 6 months of age are adopted under a spay and neuter contract and it is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure this is completed.

Adoption contracts must be signed upon adoption and state that the animal is returned to Pawesome Pets if circumstances ever change and the adopter can no longer care for the pet.

Our process includes a completed application, a meet and greet with the animal and a home check upon adoption. Submitting an application for review does not guarantee an adoption will take place.
