About Furry Tales Adopt
Furry Tales Adopt is a foster-based agency located in Markham, Ontario. Founded in 2015 we are a not-for-profit registered charity, and 100 percent volunteer-run organization.
Our primary goal is to assist pets who need urgent care. We work diligently to pull them to safety within our rescue. We help stray cats and dogs in Markham and the surrounding area and those who have been surrendered by owners.
We have helped more than 8000 pets so far to find their forever homes. Rescuing animals is a never-ending cycle and only with an amazing group of supporters can we succeed.
Adoption Policy
All adopters are responsible for veterinary care, medical bills, rechecks, and medication refills post-adoption. This allows us to use our resources for the pets that remain in our care and those with urgent needs.
We cannot guarantee the temperament of our pets. Most pets come to us without any background history. We disclose any information that is given to us and is discovered during our own observations and assessments. We do our best to find a good fit and ensure successful adoptions. However, please understand that this does not guarantee temperament as temperament is often an effect of environment and circumstance. Please be patient as your new pet adjusts to its new environment.
Adoption fees are non-refundable. Remember, providing a home and care for a pet is a lifetime commitment.
