About Paws Haven

We are a foster based animal rescue. Fosters are the heart of the rescue and allow our animals to decompress in a warm and loving home before adoption.

Our animals often come from dire situations of neglect and abuse. We also save last-call and code red animals off euthanasia lists, as well as re-home owner surrenders.

Through education, we strive to inform the community about rescuing, adopting, population control and the myths of breed discrimination.

Adoption Policy

Adoption fees are used for the care of the animal, primarily veterinary expenses such as vaccines, testing, sterilization, and medications. Additional funds are used for supplies and go toward our extensive medical cases involving specialized surgeries, etc.

Spay/neuter procedures are covered 100% by Paws Haven Co. ONLY when coordinated by PHC in advance with one of our approved veterinarians. In the event of a exigent medical delay and Adopter wishes to use their own vet for this procedure, PHC must be notified of the veterinarian’s information and provided with a date-certain appointment prior, as well as receipt of proof of spay/neuter upon completion. PHC reserves the right to decline such request and spay/neuter its rescued animals prior to finalizing the adoption.
